Bio

In 2021, Colin Ferguson became Executive Director of AHEP, bringing over 12 years of leadership and partnership development expertise in higher education. He has led AHEP through its most transformative period, creating a new strategic vision and direction. Colin works closely with the Board of Trustees to drive the association’s global mission forward.

With a strong background in the public and charity sectors, Colin has worked for notable UK social innovations, including Teach First and Police Now, focusing on improving systems through people. His extensive board and volunteer experience have fuelled his passion for social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

An expert in developing transformative strategies, Colin excels at enhancing organisational efficiency and driving growth, always prioritising people and communities. His leadership in wellbeing initiatives has been integral to advancing lasting change across sectors.
