Dr. Mohammad Abdulaziz AlOhali has been the president of King Faisal University (KFU) from (2017 - 2024). He was also the Chairman of the board of trustees at Wadi Al-Ahsa Company (2019 - 2024), also has been a chairman and a member of the board of trustees in seven private universities in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region. Previously, he was the deputy minister of the Ministry of Higher Education (2007 - 2017).
Before that, he served as the dean of the faculty of graduate studies at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran. He was also the dean of graduate studies, dean of scientific research, and the general coordinator of the Basic and Applied Research Program in the Research Institute at KFUPM. Dr. AlOhali was appointed as the general director of a major project for the HEd development in SA, Aafaq (Horizons), a 25-year strategic plan for higher education in Saudi Arabia. He also served as a consultant in several public & private entities. He holds a Ph.D. in nuclear physics from Duke University in the US, and has participated in more than 40 research papers and co-other in 4 books.
