Bio

Valeria Meneghelli works in art projects and exhibition making. She holds MA degrees in Creative and Cultural Industries from SOAS (London) and in Oriental Studies from Sapienza University (Rome). In 2016 she authored the “Report on Stambeli Tradition Today” which was published by the UNESCO’s Department of Diversity of Cultural Expression (online). She designed and collaborated in various projects promoting artistic practices as a means of disseminating culture and knowledge about contemporary issues. She assisted the curation of the exhibitions such as: “On the other shore” and “Thresholds” initiated by the French Embassy in Saudi Arabia and “Carthage, ou la memoire des pierres” by Marianne Catzaras at Parco Archeologico del Colosseo. She is the co-founder of Culture Funding Watch: a resources mobilisation platform for art and culture. From 2021 she has been directing art projects at Hafez Projects among which two art residency programs by the Saudi Ministry of Culture.
